It was a very attractive offer, and I bought 2 units..now I want one one of the same model and offer but am still waiting for a repeat deal...sigh.........
Nice and Cool. Black one is better Dec 28, 2008
The camera itself is nice and cool, fits very well in my jean's pocket. The quality of picture is also good.
I placed an order on a silver one, but a little surprisingly a black one came. Anyway I now think the black one may be better then the silver one. The black circle in the front looks nice and cool, the texture of the black circle is not cheap plastic staff, shining metallic. And as someone said before, the string came with the black one is also black, which won't end up with a dirty color as the silver one does.
Small, sweet and power packed Dec 28, 2008
Its got all the features that a regular point-n-shoot user needs. Gets sought of grainy in the dark but with high ISO settings, the quality of the images gets pretty good. Sometimes you feel you could have more than just 3X zoom and that the LCD could be larger, but with a 160 buck price tag, no complaints from my side. I compared the quality of images (including low light conditions) with SD880 and G9, and surprisingly the SD770 did pretty good! (And they were much much better than Nikon Coolpix S550). The size, although small, might not be very convenient to take pictures sometimes (Need to get used to it). Overall, 5 *'s from me.
YOU CAN'T BUY MORE FOR LESS THAN THE SD770 Dec 21, 2008
The Canon SD770IS does probably more than I will ever need, but just in case, the SD770, will do everything and more. I don't know how Canon can put so much in a camera that is this small. I had a SD20 Canon for years that was a wonderful camera. But, it was time to move on and up. I always carried my SD20 in my pocket and so does the SD770. I bought a Case Logic neoprene case which is perfect. You don't even know the camera is in your pocket. I did upgrade to a 4GB memory card. And, I made the mistake of spending the money for the Canon Case. It took me about 48 hours to order the Case Logic Case. But, that is another story. I love this camera. The usable features are endless and the photos are great. I spent a lot of time and read a lot of reviews before deciding to buy this. Thanks to Julie Neal from Disneyworld. She pushed me over the top. And, I am so glad I read her review. Incidentally, I sold my SD20 to a gentleman who's SD10 had finally gave up the ghost.

I just got this camera today and I already can tell it's much clearer than the Sony DSC I have. I honestly think that there are certain brands (Canon, Nikon) that are made for cameras, Sony does electronics well but they don't truly know how a camera is supposed to behave (just my opinion.) The Canon SD770IS does probably much more than I will ever use but that's a good thing in case I ever want to really play with it. It's very small, I am sure I will be able to carry it in my purse all the time with no extra weight. I love that it's so easy to use, right out of the box you can start snapping shots. I don't like that you have to have a memory card in to use it, but with any camera you eventually will need a memory card so that's OK. The only thing I really don't like is that you have to hold down the button for at least three seconds then let go, before it will take the shot. Three seconds is not a long time but it seems like forever. But once you see how clear the shot is, it's more of a give and take situation. If clear pictures is what you are seeking look no further. You will not be disappointed.
