Unit OK, Software and Documentation not OK Dec 30, 2007
For Christmas I got three (3) UPSes. Two were APC and one Belkin, the F6B750-AVR. The Belkin unit seems OK but the software and support documentation is very poor. It looks like the typical stuff out of China if you are buying cheep.
I am guessing that all the folks who've written the good reviews simply did not have someone else's UPS to compare the software too.
I had to reinstall the software. The first install I got duplicates of every file (I don't even know how it could do that but you can imagine the OS confusion when it has two .exe files with the exact same name and size.) The software is also difficult to use. For instance when you turn the audible alarm on/off there is no indication in the software how it is set so you have to go unplug the unit to see if you just turned it off or turned the alarm on.
Nowhere have I been able to find a load vs time information like APC provides. Nor does the Belkin software give you an estimate as the ACP software does. The "38 Minutes Backup" time that is on the box and you see on many websites is not documented anywhere. FYI, what is documented is 1 1/2 minutes at full (400 watts) and 5 minutes at half-load (200 watts) which compares very poorly with other UPS manufacturers.
If you can get the Belkin cheep go for it. It does work.
 Great value for a solid product Aug 23, 2007
I already owned the higher-end F6C1500-TW-RK (1,500VA) and knew it and the software to be very reliable, so the decision to buy the 750VA model was easy for me.
It's great, works as advertised and is very affordable. However, the software is not the same as on my higher end unit and I was bummed that I didn't get the same gauges and controls for quick visual confirmation. Still, for less than $85, it's the right choice for a simple non-critical desktop UPS.

Good buy for the money Jun 25, 2007
I've been using my Belkin unit for about a year now, and the Bulldog software that comes with it is the best I've found for any UPS system. I went and purchased plastic electric socket caps to use on those sockets that I am not using in order to keep dirt, dust, hair (we have dogs), etc., from floating into an unused socket and causing a problem, especially since this unit's sockets face upward. I strongly suggest that others cap any unused sockets so that you don't get dust shorting out the unit.
After about a year, the unit needed to be replaced. I shipped it back to Belkin and haven't gotten it back yet. The problem with Belkin in this situation is that there is absolutely no way to check the status of your RMA online. You can only get an RMA online but you can not check the status of your RMA online! They've had the unit for about 3 weeks now, and I have no idea if and when a return unit will arrive here.

 Zero Stars if it were possible! Oct 09, 2005
When I pluged this unit into the wall it started crackling and poping inside. About 3 seconds later smoke started pouring out from within. I unpluged it, took it outside and watched it smoke for another 5 minutes or so. Thank god I didn't have anything pluged into it.
