The Pan/Tilt IP Camera is a full-featured surveillance system that provides high quality video over a wired network connection. Built-in CPU and Web Server allow the camera to function as a standalone device, allowing users to access the camera anywhere in the world by using a Web browser. Users can also move the camera remotely in almost any direction, scanning sensitive locations for unauthorized intrusion. The IP Camera comes with a CMOS sensor to deliver clear and crisp images, and its powerful IPView software gives users enhanced security options to archive streaming video straight to a computer s hard drive. IP View software can also monitor multiple cameras on a single screen, enable motion detection to trigger automatic recording, and send email alert notification.

Fails after an hour. Very poor tech support. Apr 09, 2008
If the product worked, it would be fine, but it locks up after about an hour of use.

I phoned tech support. They took 20 minutes to pick up. The tech was very difficult to understand. He told me that he couldn't help me, but if I wanted to RMA it would take 3-4 weeks. The RMA process did not work and I have not received a replacement.

Great device for the money Oct 10, 2007
I purchased this camera to use at my cabin. I have trouble keeping a computer with a conventional webcam alive when I'm not there, so this was a great solution since it plugs straight into the router and functions without a computer. I find the picture quality to be good as long as there is adequate lighting. Actually, you can see quite a bit even in low light. I haven't been able to figure out how to put the video feed onto a separate web page, otherwise I would give the camera five stars. Programming the router for remote access via your ISP is not all that easy, but it can be done with a little understanding of IP addressing and networks. The camera has an amazing pan and tilt range!

Very poor picture quality Aug 07, 2007
I figured it was to good to be true. A 4x digital zoom is bad, should be optical. Of course you kinda get what you pay for and in this case you get a camera that has pan, tilt and zoom. The only problem is the picture quality is very bad. I have a non PTZ camera from another company and the picture quality is excellent. I guess that adding the other features somehow affects the picture quality. That is unless you spend around $500 - %6000 and up for the camera.

Item is described as WIRELESS. It is NOT WIRELESS. Turns out the TV-IP400W is wireless, not this TV-IP400, with no "W"!
