FACTORY ENGINE LOCATION SPECIFICATIONS

Extremely Important! TTI Headers were designed to fit with the engines
located to the factory specifications. If the engine is not located correctly in the
chassis, the headers will not fit properly. Use the following dimensions to check
your engine location before installing your headers.

From the center of the crankshaft to the top of the K-frame the correct distance
is 5-1/4". The engine is also off-set toward the passenger-side. Measure from
the center of the crankshaft to each frame rail. The distance should be 2-1/2"
(62-65 B-bodies difference should be 3" and 65-73 C-bodies difference should
be 3-1/2"). If necessary place shims between the insulator assembly and the
K-frame mounting pad to achieve the proper dimensions.

Option C0:  Raw Steel (Bare)
Our headers are constructed of 16 gauge mild steel tubing.  It is weldable, very hard and although it easily rusts, it is very durable.  Mild steel is very susceptible to rust, it must be high-temp painted or protected and sealed in order to prevent rust from damaging tubing.  A light coat of oil or grease will aid in rust control.  (This note does not apply to Stainless Steel Headers and Exhaust Systems)

No warranty offered other than to be free from defects at the time of purchase prior to installation only

Under no circumstance will we replace, repair or refund headers purchased raw

High-temp paint is recommended upon receiving headers

Option C1:  External Nickel Chrome Plated

A bright and shiny decorative chrome finish.  Exhaust components which are chrome plated are much more susceptible to bluing, blistering, peeling and corrosion due to extreme exhaust temperatures.

This process carries no warranty other than to be free from defects at the time of purchase prior to installation only

Option C2:  Exterior Ceramic Coating

A silver matte finish applied to the steel surface to protect against rust, corrosion and withstands temperatures up to 1200°F.  Exceeding this temperature will result in discoloration of the header tubes.

Option C3:  Exterior Polished Ceramic Coating

An appealing silver high-luster finish applied to the steel surface to protect against rust, corrosion and withstands temperatures up to 1200°F.  Exceeding this temperature will result in discoloration of the header tubes.

Option C4:  Ceramic Coating with a Thermal Barrier

A silver matte finish applied to the steel surface to protect against rust, corrosion and withstands temperatures up to 1200°F.  Exceeding this temperature will result in discoloration of the header tubes.  The thermal barrier is a protective inside coating which increases part longevity by reducing under-hood temperatures by 50 degrees protecting component parts from thermal fatigue.

Option C5:  Polished Ceramic Coating with a Thermal Barrier

An appealing silver high-luster finish applied to the steel surface to protect against rust, corrosion and withstands temperatures up to 1200°F.  Exceeding this temperature will result in discoloration of the header tubes.  The thermal barrier is a protective inside coating which increases part longevity by reducing under-hood temperatures by 50 degrees protecting component parts from thermal fatigue.
